How Tsuki is built, and what it runs on.
The app itself is a native Android build on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose — a fork of Yukimi/Futon, extended for long-term stability.
1200+ built-in sources are powered by the kotatsu-parsers-redo library, kept current so sources keep working as sites change.
A Gemini AI-powered parser generator, paired with a visual point-and-click rule builder, for sites without a built-in parser.
JS/Dart/Mihon-style extensions run through QuickJS. Note: some Mihon extensions have known compatibility limits on very old Android 7 devices — this is an upstream constraint, not something Tsuki can fully patch around.
The AI parser generator runs on a Vercel serverless function using Gemini 2.5 Flash to turn a site URL into a working parser.
50+ CMS types are auto-detected for custom source setup, on top of the Specialized Browser for adding any site manually.

Tsuki includes a built-in app lock so your library stays private even if someone else picks up your device.
The full source code is public on GitHub, so you (or anyone) can verify exactly what the app does with your data.
Tsuki reads manga from external sites and sources you choose to add. Those sites have their own privacy practices, separate from Tsuki itself.
